I am really excited about joining the Good Morning Girls for this new study starting on Monday 14 January and running until the 8th of March. This study is unique in that it is for Mom's and their children together. It is called Living Like Jesus.
I also realized today that it's only three weeks and my sister from South Africa will be arriving ! Not long to go now :)
Earlier this week I made my very first soy candle and am now looking forward to making my own melts and soy candles.

In our homeschool this week…
- Sir N started book two of A Reason for Handwriting B this week
- We continued with Abeka Math
- Watched Bill Nye the Science Man - Time on YouTube
- We have been reading books on Archaeology.
- We read :
- The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch by Ronda & David Armitage
- The ABCs of Continents by Bobbie Kalman
- I wonder why Stars Twinkle by Carole Stott
- Puzzle Journey Under the Sea by Lesley Sims
- Tin Toys by Bruce Whatley
- We watched these DVD's
- The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader watched these two in anticipation of going to the Narnia exhibition.
- Hop
- The Borrowers was not overly impressed with this dvd. The story is totally independent of the book.
- Arrietty this is such a beautiful movie. The attention to detail is amazing.
- The First Grader is an inspirational true story about 85 year old Maruge in Kenya who goes to school to learn to read in 2003. Sir N did not watch this and I would not recommend it to any young audience as Maruge suffers from PTSD and has flash backs of his time in prison and in concentration camps. Excellent to view.
